This is Getting Ridiculous!

Up again.

Bounce.  Bounce.  Bounce.

Counting points.   Staying within acceptable parameters.  Exercising.

Pulling my hair out!

It's like there is this invisible wall that I can't get through.  I can get down to a certain number.  Then the next day I'm up a pound.  Then back to that number.  Then up.  Then down.  Then up.  Then up again.  Then down to that number.  Then up.

Add to that, I'm hungry.  Being hungry is okay if you get rewarded with weight loss.  But this?

So I'm going to try low carb for a while to see if that can get me through this invisible, but very real, barrier.  Still counting points, mind you.

No wonder I've had so much trouble losing weight in the past!  This is HARD!

I'd offer you a hug, but you might want to keep your distance just in case I explode.

  1. Hi Cindy,

Well, at least I can see from your cartoon that you still have your sense of humor! Hang in there. It will happen! By the way, you look darling in that picture you sent me. Your perseverance is showing!

    Love you,
    Your sister

  2. Hi Cindy,

Based on the angst you are feeling, there is definitely something to be said about WW recommendation that you only weigh once a week. The daily up and down is normal, esp for women who are still hormonal, and can be discouraging as you are finding. Maybe give it a go one week to stay with the program but only weigh on your official weigh day? Also, often when you are doing all the right things, but the weight is holding (even for a couple of weeks), you will suddenly have a big loss as your body "catches up." And are you exercising? Remember that muscle weights more than fat so if you are building muscle, you may be losing fat but it won't show on the scale right away either. At any rate, HANG IN THERE! YOU CAN DO IT!

Blessings from another sister (in Christ), Jill
