Hungry Day

I don't get it.  Some days I practically have to force myself to eat, because I'm just not hungry.  Today, after I ate my usual breakfast, I felt like I hadn't even eaten at all!

And to top that off, my weight has been see-sawing up and down a couple of pounds for the past three days.  It started by see-sawing UP (of course) on my WW meeting day, which means my OFFICIAL weigh in didn't show any progress whatsoever.

So here's the up side.  I went to the meeting.  I stayed on program.  I exercised.  These are my steps to success, and it's my job to simply keep putting one foot in front of the other.  As my wise sister has been known to say, "God promises to guide our footsteps, but we still have to move our feet!"  So okay.  This is me moving my feet.  The rest is up to You, Lord.  Amen.

  1. Cindy,
My goal of 10 pounds is not nearly as enthusiastic as yours, but I still find the same thing. I've been stuck at the same weight for about 5 days, even tho my calorie count has been about the same...and some days MUCH more hungry...doesn't make sense some times, does it? But keep on keeping on...that's the only way to accomplish it. You go, girl!

  2. Keep on keeping on. Weight fluctuates daily. Maybe too much salt? Maybe too little calcium? Everything we put into our body affects us for a little while. It's okay to question the changes...as long as you keep moving on and don't stand still and wonder. Keep those feet moving! Continue to eat healthily and you'll see a difference again. Promise!

  3. Ahhhh, such comforting words from my dear friends. Thank you both. I made it through the day, but I was hungry ALL day! We'll see what tomorrow brings. Blessings.

  4. This morning my leader reminded us to pair "protein + whole grain fiber" together at every meal. Each makes the other work harder to burn fat and feel full longer. I'd forgotten that concept so will try to utilize it better this week. I was up 1+ lbs this morning... still not doing well on maintenance. :(

  5. Jill, I know what you mean! But your leader gives good advice. I've been falling off a little on eating my vegetables...and I know that helps with hunger issues too. I hope maintenance gets easier for you. But I'm glad you're preparing me for what is to come when I get to maintenance! It will help me to know that struggling is normal. Thank you so much for sharing your struggle with me.
